Emily Chiesa Klein and Karen Brennan, both trained early childhood teachers, are friends of the West Ridge Nature Preserve. They will be leading a drop-in playgroup for Parents/Caregivers and their child(ren) in our Nature Play Area throughout the year. The playgroup will meet in the Nature Play Area each Friday beginning at 9:30 am and ending at 11:30 am.
In addition to supporting free play, Emily and Karen will offer a circle of songs, poems and a simple puppet play followed by a shared snack. They will also the opportunity to create a simple nature-inspired craft each week. Most of all, they offer a chance for parents and caregivers to come together and support one another in the exciting journey of parenting/caregiving while enjoying the gifts of the forest!
There is a suggested donation of $10 per family each week to cover the costs of food and supplies.
- Please bring a cup, bowl, and spoon for yourself and for your child(ren)
