Congratulations Mather High School for being the recipient of a $175,000 grant from AT&T. This grant will allow select freshman and sophomore students to attend Northwestern University’s Science in Society summer camp. The Northwestern Science Explorer program pairs scientists with small groups of biology students to help them build science skills and achieve academic success in the transition to high school.
Support and training include:
- A focus on long-term academic relationships. Fellows meet with students twice a week during the school day for the entire academic year.
- Individualized attention that encourages student learning, growth, and confidence. Support for science teachers, including tutoring students in biology before and after school.
