Below is an overview of the community meeting that took place Monday, March 27, at River Park to discuss possible upgrades to the river shoreline adjacent to the park’s soccer field and track. This project will cover the River Park, Ronan Park, and Legion Park.

Concrete “falls” will be removed and replaced with riverine rifles, giving the visual of a babbling brook. This will allow for a better habitat for fish.
Shoreline will be restored and stabilized by the addition of native plants, grading, and repair of erosion.
Access to the river by patrons will be possible with these plant, landscape improvements.
September 2017 – Bids will be sent out
Late 2017 – 2018 – Tree removal and invasive plant species will be removed. Once the shoreline is cleaned out, plantings will occur. Fencing most likely will up for two years as this allows for plants to take hold.
When all is said and done, this project would be complete by 2022.
