Cooling Centers for Summer Months
The Chicago Department of Family and Support Services operates six Cooling Centers during the summer months. Additional facilities are opened as needed in libraries, Park District buildings, senior centers and other community venues.
The nearest Cooling Center to our ward is located at the North Area Community Service Center located at 4740 N. Sheridan Road on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 9am to 5pm and Wednesday from 11:00 to 7:00pm. Hours and days may be extended so please call 312-744-2580.
