Level Up Program for High School Students
Level UP is a quick-start program designed to prepare students for college level work and to acclimate students to the rigor of the college environment and takes a cohort approach that allows students to develop initial supports from both peers and faculty/staff.
Designed to accelerate the pathway to college-level courses and programs, Level UP students can shorten the pathway to graduation by 1-3 semesters, saving time & money. Level UP offers morning ( 9am – 12pm) and afternoon (1pm – 4pm) courses over a 4-week span in both Reading/Writing and Math with smaller class sizes. Participants may take one class or both. Math courses consist of individualized curriculum with embedded tutoring. Writing courses will be based on the progress of students’ work through a portfolio approach that allows for better assessment of student improvement and learning (preferred practice among many instructors). Included are many networking and fun experiences to give incoming students a head start.
Level UP will run throughout the summer at each City Colleges campus.
