Schreiber Playground Park Receives Community Garden Grant

Congratulations to Schreiber Park for receiving a Community Garden Grant through a program supported by Peoples Gas and the Parkways Foundation and administered through the Chicago Park District. Schreiber Park, located at 1552 W. Schreiber, received funds for materials, tools and plants to expand and improve the existing gardens, as well as to create new garden sites to enable more residents to participate and enjoy the benefits of community beautification efforts.

Peoples Gas has supported the community Gardens Grants program since 2008 and is committed to working with non-profit organizations throughout Chicago in the areas of education, the environment and neighborhood development.
