Alderman O’Connor Speaks at the 2012 Brown Forum in Croatia

Alderman O’Connor had the honor of attending the 2012 Brown Forum in Opatija, Croatia on April 2-3. The Forum brought together community leaders from the Southeast Europe region and the United States, as well as individuals from the private sector to discuss ways to promote economic growth on the local level, how to support fledgling local businesses and investors, and how to market a municipality to domestic and foreign investors.

The conference featured a range of speakers and panelists from the region as well as the U.S. who shared their experience in successfully managing investment in local communities and growing local economies. To that end, Alderman O’Connor spoke about Chicago’s economic growth and investment opportunities.
