Goldie’s Place 5K a Great Success!

Alderman O’Connor presents Johanna Dalton of Goldie’s Place with a check for the proceeds from the 5K Fundraiser Run/Walk
We’d like to send out a big thanks to all the courageous folks who braved the threat of rain and ventured out in support of our 5K run/walk for Goldie’s Place this past Sunday morning. Despite the gloomy forecast, 89 staunch participants strapped on running shoes and gave their all for a great cause.
We wish a hearty congratulations to Mike Cramarosso and Maeve O’Connor for being the first male and female runners to cross the finish line! Age group and overall results are available on the Racetime website:

Johanna Dalton, Executive Director of Goldie’s Place, was on hand to cheer on participants and spoke about the work of Goldie’s Place as well as their upcoming fundraiser, Get Down with Goldie’s Place, being held at the Rock Bottom Brewery on November 5th. The event will feature a craft beer tasting, open bar, raffles, silent auction, and more. Goldie’s Place works hard for people who are homeless, and fundraisers such as this are vital to the unique services they provide, including employability training, free dental care, and job placement.
