2011 Ward Improvements

2011 saw many improvements in the 40th Ward. Using our annual menu money we were able to greatly improve the infrastructure of our community. Residents who have any infrastructure requests should contact the office at 773/769-1140.

The following are some projects that were completed last year:

Street Resurfacing
Artesian, Catalpa to Bryn Mawr
Campbell, Peterson to Glenlake
Francisco, Carmen to Ainslie
Hermitage, Thorndale to Peterson
Hoyne, Foster to Berwyn
Sawyer, Berwyn to Balmoral
Carmen, Lincoln to Rockwell
Thorndale, Ravenswood to Hermitage
Rosehill, Ashland to Hermitage
Ardmore, California to Talman
Balmoral, Ravenswood to Winchester
Berwyn, from Leavitt to Hoyne – also received sewer replacement
6100 Block of Leavitt – WPA Street will be resurfaced between spring and summer

Concrete Porous Alley
Between Greenview and Bosworth, Northshore to the dead end
Between Devon and Highland, Hermitage and Paulina
Between Seeley and Hoyne, Hood to the dead end

Bumpouts
Glenwood at Thome – will be completed in the 2012 construction season

New Street Repaving
