Mayor Emmanuel, Senator Durbin, and Congressman Gutierrez recently launched the “Chicago is With You” task force to ensure comprehensive delivery of services to immigrant, refugee and other disenfranchised communities.
The City’s Office of New Americans (ONA) is dedicated to improving services and engaging Chicago’s diverse immigrant and refugee communities through enhanced collaboration with community organizations, academic institutions, and the private sector. Through the ONA, Mayor Emanuel is committed to working to improve the day-to-day experiences of our city’s 560,000 foreign-born residents while delivering economic, social, and cultural benefits for all Chicagoans. Explore the website to see all the programs and services offered by the Office of New Americans.
On the site, constituents can find information on all programs and services offered by ONA including; citizenship, Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), entrepreneurship support, and undocumented students. Also, we previously sent the attached immigrant and refugee resource flyer that can also be found on the site translated in 5 different languages.
Additionally, the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office has a new hotline available for all residents of Cook County to report immigration fraud. The hotline number to report immigration fraud is: 312-603-8678
