2012 Street Sweeping Schedule for 40th Ward
To ensure curb-to-curb street cleaning, temporary parking restrictions are posted the day before the work is scheduled to begin on any street. Some arterial streets have permanently posted signs that specify a once-per-week period when parking is prohibited for street sweeping. The fine for violating a street sweeping parking ban is $50 and vehicles may be relocated to a nearby site by tow trucks enforcing this parking restriction.

Added Feature: The Sweeping Schedule has been added to the Ward Event Calendar. If you currently have a gmail account you can add the sweeping schedule to your google calendar and set-up alert reminders for yourself.
How to: Click on the Street Sweeping Event in the calendar. A pop-up window will appear, then select (copy to my calendar). You will be asked to sign-in to your gmail account. Once signed-in the Event will be added to your personal calendar automatically where you can add alerts to meet your needs.
