The Chicago Artists Resource (CAR) is a program of the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs which describes the landscape of opportunity in the arts for artists.
CAR also is a great resource, and has assembled the tools needed for Chicago artists working in Dance, Music, Theater and Visual Arts through a unique combination of:
- artist-curated resource directory
- links to local and national organizations
- articles from the New York Foundation for the Arts; UIC Center for Health in the Arts; GYST, Ink, and Ann Daley Consulting;
- the voices, artwork and experiences of Chicago artists.
- resources for managing, finances, insurance, legal, marketing, media outlets, professional organizations, health, suppliers, advocacy and education in specifically tailored for each art discipline.
