“Grace Period Voter Registration” is the safety-net program for those who missed the standard deadline to register (28 days before the date of the election).
Grace Period Voter Registration requires the voters to register or update their records in person at the Election Board offices at 69 W. Washington St. on the Sixth Floor. The grace-period registrant then receives an absentee ballot by mail.
By law, the Grace Period Voter Registration program will close on Tues., Jan. 26, 2010.
