The Rosehill Cemetery Memorial Day Service and Parade, in cooperation with AMVETS POST #243, was a great success as hundreds of spectators were in attendance to pay tribute to the men and women who served in the Armed Forces.
For many years, the Avenue of Flags has been a tradition at Rosehill Cemetery during Memorial Day Weekend.
The flags have been donated by famiily and friends of departed veterans. These flags lined the path of the parade route which proceeded to the Veterans’ Memorial Rose Garden. The somber event included a number of military rituals such as roll call of the honored dead who lost their lives this year; the folding and presentation of the flag; and a 21 gun salute followed by taps.
A special thanks to our Troops serving around and their families.
