Alderman Patrick J. O’Connor is proud to have helped the Edgewater Historical Society find a home in the 40th Ward.

A former fire station was being used for environmental purposes and was no longer needed. We helped facilitate the transfer of the building to the Edgewater Historical Society.

For the time period of June through September, 2010 admission will be free. In addition to being open on Saturdays from noon until 4:00 p.m. the museum will be open on Sundays for the next 4 months.

There will be contests and special activities on Sundays. The museum is located at 5358 N. Ashland. The museum is available by special appointment to school classes and groups.
