The new Dominick’s Grocery Store at Foster and Lincoln recently provided us with a construction update. Although they have run into several obstacles, the following will explain the new timeline and circumstances.
On or about December 15th, 2009 there was an unidentified underground storage tank found during the excavation process which required an additional permit from the Dept. of Environment for the safe off site removal of the tank. Consequently, this delayed the project by 4-weeks. During the 4-week delay the ground had frozen which meant that the foundation and precast could not be completed until the ground thawed. With the warmer weather we have experienced over the past week, the ground has been thawing out. Subsequently, the foundation and precast is slated for completion on 3/23/10.
The existing alley will be replaced and all parking spaces will be reconfigured back to their original configuration. At this time, the activities are as follows:

- On 4/8/2010, all residents parking on the north alley will be able to park back in their respective parking spaces.
